Elon Musk on Tuesday, April 8, described Peter Navarro, a main white house advisor, as “truly a jerk” and “darker than a sack of bricks” in a growing crack on Donald Trump’s rates policy.
Musk, a key assistant to the president, has indicated his opposition to tariffs, and the CEO of Tesla hit after navigating his company of electric vehicles such as “not a car manufacturer” but “a car assembler.” The new Trump tariffs about imports have discarded markets as fears of a global recession.
Musk published his criticisms in X under a clip of Navarro saying that Tesla imported batteries, electronic and tire products, and that musk “launches the cheap foreign pieces.” Musk responded, saying that “Tesla has the most manufactured cars in the United States. Navarro is darker than a sack of bricks.”
The richest man in the world recently supported a free trade zone between North America and Europe, a desire to disagree with Trump’s emblematic tariffs. The president of the United States has ruled out any pause in his aggressive position despite the reprisal action of China and the criticism signs of his Republican party.
