A great fire broke out in the north of Paris on Monday, April 7, near a new judicial complex, and emergency services asked the public to remain away from the area. You could see a thick black smoke cloud from the French capital while firefighters fought against the fire that had gone through one of the largest recycling plants in the city. Some 60 firefighters and 200 firefighters were on the scene, said the Fire Brigade.

The illuminated flames the night sky and the authorities closed part of the main ring road around Paris to allow access to the flame building for fire -fighting vehicles, Geoffrey Bouold, mayor of the 17 affectedTh District, said the BFMTV French news station.

“The building is completely delayed and destroyed,” he said, but all interior staff had evacuated. “The firefighters arrived very fast, but the fire occurred underground and then extended through the building,” Bouold said. The Paris Fire Brigade said on the X platform that an “important fire” was furious and asked the public to “stay away from the area and let emergency services work.”

The fire, at the Syctom recycling plant, was next to the Paris main court complex. The recycling plant, which began operations in 2019, was designed to handle household waste for almost a million residents of Paris, according to the city authorities.
