A new Oscar will be delivered for acrobatics when the brightest hollywood party celebrates its 100Th Birthday, awards officials said Thorsday, April 10. The Board of Governors of the Academy of Arts and Sciences of Motion Motion said that the films released in 2027 will be eligible for an Oscar for the achievement in the design of acrobatics.

“Since the first days of cinema, the design of acrobatics has an integral part of the cinema,” said the CEO of the Academy, Bill Kramer and the Janet Yang Academy in a statement. “We are proud to honor the innovative work of these technical and creative artists, and congratulate them for their commitment and dedication for reaching this transcendental occasion.” The rules about eligibility and who will vote for the winner will be presented in two years.

The announcement marks the culmination of a growing campaign for a category of “better stunts” in the Oscars, with supporters arguing that the contribution of unrecognized artists who risk life and limb is equal to that of sound mixers, makeup artists and visuals.

Acrobatics work is already honest in some prestigious film and television ceremonies, such as the Actor Guild prizes Screen Where where Scapegoat Tok Home The 2024 Award.

The academy has been expanding the Oscars to create more categories that reflect how complex the fall has become. Last year, a new Oscar was established for casting, which will be awarded for the first time next year.
