The year 2024 was the most popular ever registered in this part of the world, since it was worldwide, with record temperatures in the central, oriental and southeast regions. The storms were often violent, and the floods were generalized, resulted in at least 335 deaths and affecting 413,000 people, according to the European climate report, published on Tuesday, April 15 by the Copernic Climate Organization (WM) and the world.

Europe is heating “double fast” that the global average, said Samantha Burgess, leader of the C3S climate strategy. Several factors are at stake: the region includes part of the Arctic, where temperatures increase the fastest on Earth, changes in atmospheric circulation promote the most frequent summer heat waves and efforts to combat air cock reduce aerosols that partially partially.

Some rivers, such as Thames in the United Kingdom and Loira in France, registered no flow rates in 33 years, in spring and autumn.
