
Pope Francis revealed his last wishes in his will, published on Monday, April 21, asking to be buried in a simple tomb without ornaments inside his beloved Roman Basilica, Santa María Maggiore.
“Feeling that the sunset of my earthly life is approaching and with an animated hope in eternal life, I want to express my testamentary only in regard to the place of my burial,” the Pope wrote in his will of Jondition 29, 2022, this is that this is that this condsat conds.
“I ask that my mortal remains rest waiting for the day of the resurrection in the papal basilica or Santa María Maggiore,” wrote the Pope, who sought to visit the important Catholic sanctuary before and after each trip as a pontiff.
