Spring is finally here! The first days of skies and blue flowers put me standing in front of my wardrobe, looking for new combustions of outfits so that they coincide with my most sunny mood. I like to place in layers in winter, and although spring gives me the opportunity to get my skirts (and my legs!), It is still quite in shape. So, when I approached me a lot to participate in his dress campaign for spring, I knew I wanted to concentrate on dressing to match the new season, while finishing warm!
How to dress for spring in the United Kingdom
Dressing for spring can be complicated. While it can be sunny in the morning, the weather can change with a click of the fingers. My solution to this is Transition dressing. This is a way of dressing that best suits those uncomfortable days between winter and spring, or autumn and winter. You may also listen to it called Trans-stational dressingWorks Council mid -season dressing. But, honestly, it is what the British need to use most of the time.
The best way to address transition dressing is with layers. I am talking about cardigans, bridges, coats and jackets, maybe even a scarf. While I like a thick sweater, change this for light options that I can place. I also recommend choosing natural fibers for breathability.
In summary, the best ways of dressing for spring in the United Kingdom are:
- Place your clothes: Use thinner layers that you can easily take and turn off to match the changing temperatures and go indoors or outside.
- Use versatile parts: Go for clothes that can be designed up or down, such as shirts, cardigans, socks or long socks.
- Choose External Capas Practices: An impermeable jacket is essential, for storms and light showers equally!
- Prioritize breathable fabrics: I like to use cotton, linen and wool, since they are more comfortable and more sustainable fabrics than synthetic.
What I wear for spring
Flowers? For spring? Not in my closet! If you follow me, you will know that I prefer to wear clothes in block colors and classic styles than the occupied prints or the pieces led by trends. The base of my wardrobe is made up of investment parts that I think by adding any new article to the mixture. Build a cohesive closet that will use again and again saves time and money!
Barbour wax jacket
This year, I invested in a Barbour blue wax jacket. During much of winter, I have been using my jacket to implap North Face, and with the change of the season, it is now too large and warm. This jacket is a much better option for spring, since it is light, waterproof and really very practical.
It is likely to be familiar with Barbour jackets as a fashion fashion of the British field, but this jacket has a more contemporary shape and sensation. I wanted to show that when designing it in the city and in the country, bringing a little of both to each outfit!

VEJA coaches
And that’s where my new coaches enter! Very much has a large selection of sustainable fashion brands in its place, and in the coaches department, Veja has to be my best choice. I have constantly classified them in my sustainable shoes guide, and for a good reason. His shoes are comfortable, long -lasting and ethical. These Rio Brancos will see thousands of steps this year, starting with 11000 of a recent walk in South Downs!
Light bridges
Next, light jumpers. I have a large collection of sustainable knit garments, and within that, three light jumpers that are perfect for spring. I like to place them on a shirt or shirt, and take them too hot. My best recommendation when looking for light knitting is to verify its composition: I would still recommend 100% wool on a polyester mixture, because it will be more breathable and also biodegradable at the end of your life.

Linen skirt
And finally, my linen skirt. This is a summer piece that is really perfect for spring! Simply defend how you design it. You can find a white midi skirt in almost all Brightonian wardrobe, and for a good reason: they are comfortable, low maintenance and excellent for walking, Whiteher that is next to the sea or in nature!
Here, I have paired with my coaches Veja and my Mary Jane socks, for comfort.
15 transition pieces to use for spring
To complete this publication, I wanted to share some more options to dress for spring that I swear. I have been writing about sustainable fashion for almost ten years, and at that time I have experienced a lot with my style. I think that has to be the starting point, discover your style, and from there, you will know what forms and colors make you feel safer.
