Vilvoorde opens a store for used sports gear with donations

Vilvoorde (Brussels morning newspaper) – Vilvoorde is opening a store for useful sports equipment, with donations collected in locations such as’ T Zeepardje. Councilor Laure Scheerlinck supports this initiative in association with Sport Vlaanderen.

Vilvoorde is opening a special store where people can buy sports equipment used for less money. The authorities mentioned that this will help people who need additional help to get the things they need to start exercising and practice sports.

The city expects this to help more people to become active and enjoy the benefits of sports. Councilor Laure Scheerlinck is helping to make a difference. He mentioned that the city knows that it is difficult for some people to join a sports club because they do not have enough money.

The Vilvoorde store is also asking people to donate their former sports team. The city will give this team to people who cannot afford to buy new equipment. The city expects this to encourage more people to act and improve their health.

Vilvoorde is working with local groups to collect used sports equipment. People can leave their old sports in the pool of the city, the horse of the sea. There is also a special donation box there. The city wants to make donations as convenient as possible for citizens, so they are placing donation boxes where citizens already participate in sports.
