Athletics selection policy of the G2026 team of the Scotland team
ScottishAthletics and Scotland team It is pleased to announce an amendment to the Commonwealth Games Selection policy for Glasgow 2026.
Athletics has been assigned 25 places in the general team of Scotland for games next year.
This number (which does not include for athletes to) will include possible members of the relay team.
The qualification period for the standards was opened at the beginning of 2025 according to the selection policy.
With places for up to 25 athletes in Glasgow 2026, athletics will constitute a very significant percentage of the general team of Scotland, which covers 10 sports, in the event next year.
Athlete places are assigned through a Commonwealth classification system under selection policy.

Tickets are now open to the 3000m Scottish Champions in U20 and U17.
These races will be housed in the Glasgow Athletics Association Mile Meet Later this month.
Crownpoint is the place of rhythm racing at 3000m and 800m in Friday, May 30.
