Ben in Paris last summer when he won the Gold T20 1500m in the Paralympics
Ben Sandilands has published a new European record In the T20 classification of men more than 5000m.
The 1500M Paralympic champion competed in the British Unis (BUCS) event in Manchester around a weekend that had a number or Scottish medals.
There was gold to Adam Hole, Sarah Calvert and Freya Howgate. Hole, howgate and Cameron Thores Everyone enjoyed the double success of medals.
As well as the medalists listed below there a series of PB performance and fourth and fifth place finishes.
FiFe AC Ben athlete registered 14: 20.14 for the seventh place (and Top Scot) in the BUCS 5000M final. We understand that it is an improvement of nine seconds in the European record of T20 in the event.
Congratulations to Ben, his family, coach Steve Doig And all involved in their development in several years.

400m: Andrew Peters Bronze 48.68
110 obstacles: Adam Hole Gold 14.90/-2.1; Craig Moncur Bronze 15.11

*Sitting disc: Adam Donnaachie 269 points (24.72). First place but no medals are granted. Adam also secondly in the shot sitting.
