
The opposition leader of Tanzania, Tundu Lissu, tried to reassure his party cheers who had met to show their support when appearing in court for betrayal charges on Monday. His party Chadema Batula the ruling CCM of repression. He has ruled the country since 1977 and faces a small opposition in the October elections after Chadema has a disqualified bone of the races. Several Kenya politicians were deported while trying to attend Lissu’s trial.
