What is the retirement Feel Good Feigne?
Retirement Feel Good Feigne is a four -day retreat twice annual organized by Gemma Ogston in the Belle Eco, in Carcassonne, France. I attended the first edition, organized in early May, with the next scheduled for September 25 to 28, where you can book here.
Gemma Ogston He is an integral food chef, author of The Healing Cookbook and founder of Mama Shrooms. I have followed Gemma since a friend recommended her recipes, and I love that she combines well with self -care. (Many of its recipes are based on plants, however, this withdrawal also includes dairy and meat -based dishes). I was very excited to meet her and spend a weekend learning her recipes!
In the retirement, we enjoy the sustainable surroundings of The Belle EcoAn isolated stately house that works as a hotel, event and retirement place. With its own food forest and luxury services. Think of the natural pool, the outdoor hydromassage bathtub, the sauna cabin, the yoga study and more! Discover more about the beautiful echo in my full review →
The Feel Good Feigne Retreat: Day by day itinerary

Retirement Feel Good Feigne takes place for four days, from Thursday to Sunday, including travel time. Of the 12 guests in the Retirement, 10 of us travel from the United Kingdom, flying from the airports of London and Manchester directly to Carcassonne. The other two led from Barcelona, just a three -hour trip. It can also get to Carcassonne by train, carrying the Euro -to -Paris euro, and then south in the TGV, however, I recommend reserving this in advance, since the tickets run out quickly.
Day 1

16:00 Arrivals
Our retirement began from the moment we left the Carcassonne airport. In a soft transition, Ruby with us and took us to the Belle Eco, less than 15 minutes. Along the way, we glimpse the hills and vineyards that make the carcassone so green.
17:00 Tour in the house
Once in the retirement, we discover our rounded by trees and birds. We were received with drinks and invited to travel the house and the land, before each show to our rooms. I stayed in the luxurious Flora Suite, a room that we quickly call the ‘Princess Room’ due to the princess bed and the elegant seats. I loved the yellow -style tapestry paper of Gogh and the French windows, who looked at the Prado Verde on the front of the house.
19:00 Sound bathroom
At 7 pm, we reconfect ourselves in the barn for a sound bath, directed by the external practitioner Sophie. Here, we were encouraged to grind Ourelves after a day of travel through a complete relaxation, listening, and sleeping, to his glass bowls and his Gong game.
20:00 Outdoor Dinner
After the sound bath, we put on some layers and head outside for our first retirement party. We start with a Beetoot Gazpacho, before eating family style, with roasted chicken, cauliflower, white beans and ratatouille. Then, dinner was followed by a Ruibarbo fool, and then a very complete and very comfortable dream.
Day 2

7:00 MOVEMENT MEDITATION
While I am not an early bird, I wanted to make the most of my time in the retirement Feel Feigne and I got up bright and early to participate in the guided meditation of the 7 o’clock. This was directed by Lucas, another practitioner who began the session with the Oracle cards, and then led a meditation of heart rate movement that woke me up and my senses for the day.
8:30 Breakfast
Then I went to breakfast. This was housed in the beautiful French cuisine, with the configuration of our exposed place. This first Bewan breakfast with a spicy ginger and a cayenne that Gemma made fresh for us, and was followed with a cocoa milkshake, dippy eggs, buffet and tea and coffee.
9:30 Conscious Food Workshop
While the kitchen changed, they showed us to the living room for a conscious food workshop. This was directed by Tricia, counselor and hypnotherapist. He sat on the vintage sofas, we were invited to meditate in the five senses involved in eating a simple strawberry.

After the intermediate of the letter, we joined Gemma in the kitchen for your broth workshop. She showed us two variations: bone broth, using the left -handed chicken bones of the previous night and a vegan option with roasted vegetables.
11:30 Food Forest Tour
Once the broth was slowly, they led us to the ‘food forest’, a large land patch that has become a paradise of permaculture. This is all that Fernando’s gardener does, who directed the tour, and invited us to look for eating leaves and herbs in preparation of our salad workshop.
12:30 forage salads and lunch
Next, we join to make four different salads, with forged foods, as well as other foods that will soon appear on garden waxes, figs, grapes, etc. Then we have thesis in the front of the house a beautiful lunch, a lunch, lunch, lunch, lunch, lunch, lunch, lunch, lunch.
14: 30-18: 00 free time
After lunch, we had a few hours of free time. Most of us pass this next to the natural pool, chatting and drinking honesty bar drinks in the pool house. This is also the moment when you can use the sauna cab, the hydromassage bathtub or take a reserved massage.

After the towel and changing, we met in the barn for a cocoa ceremony. This was jointly directed by Gemma practitioner and Yoga Anahí, where we drink coarse cocoa and meditate as a group.

At 10 o’clock, we are heading to the local cities farmers. Here, we toured fresh fruits, vegetables and cheeses in sacrifice, and in charge of each bringing an element of the group’s lunch. I went for nectarines with cheese and honey, and I only used my rusty French to haggle with a honey farmer!

Day 4

9:30 Breakfast
On the last day, Gemma and Ruby agreed a slightly reduced itinerary after the previous mischief of the night. We start with a late breakfast, before talking about our favorite retirement elements. He felt like the end of a great school trip: we had all become friends and had such beautiful memories.
10:00 Guided meditation
While the team prepared for our game, we sat next to the pool for the last time for a guided meditation tasks of Tricia. At one time, the hot sun and laughter frogs became a distraction too much, and Tricia laughed at meditation and insert made us remember on the trip.
11:00 Hogging time
Finally, it was home time. We all smile (and some we cry) while we separate in cars and head in different directions. It was such a fantastic moment!
My qualification of the Feel Good Feigne Retreat: 9/10
As I said on Instagram, what (re) treats! Through the withdrawal of fasting Feele Good, we were invited to experience the Belle Eco with the five senses. The hotel is an impressive visual and interiors are an eclectic tribute to the original characteristics of the mansion. It is decorated with good taste with original works of art, ancient mirrors, candlesticks and, of course, fodder flowers.
However, the other senses are also treated, with the sound of the song of the birds and the talk, the terrible aromas of the wild forests and the pool for the outdoors, the taste of the delicious food and the drink, and the sensation of the sun that moves down, or taking the sun, in the sunny room, in the sun to those of the sun.
I have described the 9/10 retreat, since I think that the meditation and yoga sessions that ate early could have assisted better if they moved in the afternoon. Out of this, everything was quite perfect. If you are looking for an ecological retirement, this is my main recommendation!
Reserve his place in the September edition of Retiro Feel Good Fasting on the Belle Eco website.
