Last weekend, I stayed in Belle Eco. It was, truly, a portion or a natural paradise. Located in Carcassonne green and sunny, the house and the land of the mansion are different from any other in which I had the pleasure of staying. In the heart, his magic comes from his connection with nature; Surrounded by a dense forest that has been intact for 70 years, the song of the birds is completely from the city. Mature trees swing in the breeze. And the regenerative systems that Eco Belle implements also keep it that way.

Presentation: The Belle Eco
The Belle Eco was founded by the Ruby and Dimi partners. They discovered the house and the stately land in poor condition, after spending almost 70 years without occupants, and have the last five years renewing it carefully. This covers everything, from the preservation of the windows of the 1920s to sow the seeds of a permaculture garden. Today, it stands as a 9 -bedroom decadent hotel, art center and wedding headquarters. The Belle Eco is located just 13 minutes by car from Carcassonne airport, already 25 minutes from Carcassonne.
THE FLORA SUITE IN THE BELLE ECO
I was invited to visit the Belle Eco to experience his retirement Feigne twice annual. Staying in the days of the flora suite with almond walls inspired by Van Gogh, eating three decadent meals to the day made of rewarding of its’ regenerative food forest, and connecting with other food lovers felt like a dream. In fact, sitting here writing this in the midst of a bustling city, perhaps the surrounding antithesis and the spirit of the Belle Eco, really makes it feel like a very vivid and very special dream.
I wanted to shine a special focus on the flora suite, since it really became my home during the long weekend. This beautiful and expansive suite comes with everything: a real upper bed with princess crown, dressing table, regency -style seats and two French windows that open over the park. It is a suite bedroom, with bathroom and rain shower in the walls with tapestry paper. I remained the duration at the beginning of May, so it was still a bit cold, but the room came with extra bedding in the closet.
A place for regeneration and relaxation
In addition to being an arts center, a wedding place and a boutique hotel, the Belle Eco is also home to a series of regenerative and relaxing activities. You are likely to take full advantage of the thesis in one of your retreats, but you are very open to guests or reservables for your stay.
Food forest
In the land of the Belle Eco, you will find the ‘food forest’. Fernando, the resident gardener, touched us for a feeding workshop and showed us the seven layers of his permaculture forest, from the mature trees that have remained on the earth for years of years, to the scattered bushes, the roots and the vines. In 5-10 years, they hope to have a forest that can feed everyone, throughout the year.
Natural pool
A stone shooting is the natural pool. Here, frogs live among the al, and out loud in the sun. Despite visiting in early May, the weather was warm enough to sunbathe and swim, and it was a deliciously cold fall (which was completely free of chlorine!)
And, because when the weather is not so warm, there is also a hydromassage bathtub, a sauna cabin and a pool house with honesty bar. It was for two idyllic later.
Yoga and Meditation Space
In the back of the stately house, you will find an old grain store, which has been restored and turned into a double level barn. It is the ideal environment: the warm wood floor leads to a large outdoor arch where old trees and the song of the birds emanate. Now, don’t let all that calm deceive you: Belle Eco is also a great party house. This costume is full of glamor, dresses and feathers of the 50s, as well as costumes of all times. The Belle Eco has to be one of the best places that I have visited in my more than 10 years of documenting ecological trips. Like all things in nature, it does not fit into a box, and instead attends individual stays, retreats, weddings, artists residences and more. It also comes with a community of guests, adjustments and present, in addition to practitioners, personnel and volume, to whom they love the place. I have the feeling that this won the last time I stay there, I already have a list of friends who want to visit after seeing my most outstanding aspects!
