While Ahly Sporting Club prepares for her tenth appearance in the FIFA Club World Cup, Brussels morning sat with the vice president of the club, Khaled Mortality, to explore the historical moment for the football power of Egypt and for Africa Grande. In a wide conversation with Sarhan Basem, Mortography shares ideas about the strategic preparations of Al Ahly, global ambitions and vision for the future, positioning the club not only as an elite of continental champte football.

1. Al Ahly once again goes to the Club World Cup: What does this participation for the legacy of the club and its fans mean?

For Al Ahly FC, participation in the FIFA Club World Cup is not just a milestone, it is tradition. This marks our tenth appearance and we are bronze medists in a proud time, a record that says a lot about our consistency, excellence and dominance on the global stage. This expanded format sacrifices new challenges, but also greater opportunities and at Ahly FC is ready to increase once more.

2. As vice president, how do you see the role of Al Ahly in representation not only in Egypt, but throughout the African continent on the global stage?

Al Ahly FC has always seen ITELF as a flagerer for both Egypt and Africa. In this new globally expanded format, that role becomes even more critical. Not only are we participating, we are carrying the hopes and pride of a continent that for a long time has produced exceptional stories of talents and football. Our goal is to show that African and Arab clubs can compete with powers from each corner of the world.

3. From a strategic perspective, what preparations, both techniques and administrative, have been prioritized for this tournament?

This year, task in a directed and international approach. Our training field prior to the tournament in Miami, USA, has been a central part of our technical preparation that provides first -class facilities, climatic acclimatization and world class conditions. The highlight is our friendly match against Pachuca, another qualified team, which gives us real -time exhibition to the level of the Club World Cup level. Administratively, every detail from logistics to recovery protocols has been optimized to ensure that the equipment arrives mentally and physically ready for maximum performance.

4. How is Ahly paleing your presence of the World Cup for brand associations, sponsorships or commercial growth?

This Club World Cup presents a platform not only for football, but also for commercial growth based on experience. With our existing partners, we are offering innovative activations and brand experiences adapted to this global moment, from digital fans participation campaigns to content shared content and events. It is about turning this tournament into a shared brand trip with our partners and taking them to the heart of the world stage.

5. What has the club of the previous editions of the Club World Cup learned and how is that experience influencing this year’s approach?

To Ahly FC is no stranger to this tournament, this will be our tenth appearance. That level of experience is invaluable. We have learned how to handle the rhythm of the game, adapt to unknown opponents and manage the care of professionalism. Our history, including four medals of the Club World Cup, gives us confidence and tactical maturity to address this expanded format with a clear understanding of what is needed for success.

6. With the increase in international exposure, do you have plans to expand its exploration, academies or associations abroad?

Absolutely. One of our key strategic priorities is to globalize the brand to Ahly FC. We are exploring opportunities for international academies, especially in markets where we have a solid fans base. We are also strengthening our global fingerprint with collaborations such as FIFA collecting and entering the NFT world to ensure that fans around the world can commit to Ahly FC. The ambition is clear: to make Al Ahly FC a name recognized not only in Africa and the Arab world, but everywhere football lives.

7. Looking towards the future: What is your vision for Ahly in the next five years in terms of global positioning and excellence in football?

Around the next five years, our vision is to position Al Ahly FC recognized worldwide, along with the most elite in the world. This means constantly competing in global competitions, investing in our digital ecosystem and expanding our international commercial and cultural footprint. We want our logo to be known on the continents, a sporting symbol, heritage and ambition.

8. How are Ahly working to improve your infrastructure and facilities to stay competitive with the best global clubs?

Our most important project is the construction of the new stage to Ahly, a latest generation installation that will be a cornerstone of our long -term vision. Continuous to be complete for 2029, the stadium will not only be a home for our first team, but also a multifunctional sports and entertainment center. It reflects our ambition to match and overcome the standards of global first -level clubs in infrastructure, experience of fans and commercial abilities.

9. Is there a long -term ambition for Ahly to participate in a global league or expand its international footprint beyond CAF and FIFA tournaments?

We are following all the developments with respect to global competitions with great interest. While we remain deeply loyal to CAF and our regional competitions, we are also open to any initiative that allows us to show our strength globally, consistently. Whether it participates in expanded FIFA competitions or aligns with the future Marks of the Global League, Al Ahly FC will always seek opportunities to lead and innovate beyond borders.

10. What message would you like to send to Ahly fans worldwide before this historical appearance in the Club World Cup?

For our incredible fans, you are the soul of this club. When entering a new chapter of the Club World Cup, let’s know that every step we take is promoted by its support and belief. We have made history, and with you behind us, we are ready to do it again.
