Chappell Roan tried luck in reality shows competitions before his debut album, The Rise and Fall of A Midwest Princess. She auditioned for America’s Got Talent at 13 and the voice at 15. However, unfortunately, none of those auditions led nothing fruitful for the singer.
In a recent interview with W magazine, Roan recalled his disappointing hearing for the voice and revealed how he felt humiliated by the producer judging his vocal skills.

Roan, born Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, also auditioned for America’s Got Talent at 13. He traveled with his family to Austin, Texas, and waited in the tail for hours to sing the true colors of Cyndi Lauper, but could at the next level.

Born in Willard, Missouri, Roan was raised in a conservative Christian family. His father was a naval reservist and his mother was a nurse. She began to touch the piano at the age of 10.
