Great Britain (tomorrow from Brussels) – On one night that will be remembered as an innovative moment for both the African boxing and equatorial guinea on the global sports map, Soulleymane ciskho defeated the Lithuanian contender Egidijus Titaliauskas eliminating, despite being demolished in the first round.

Guinea’s Equatorial Sports Moment, what comes next?

Celebrated at the Sipo Concerence Center in Malabo, the high -risk fight was the first CMB eliminator of this caliber never organized in Guinea Event, an equatorial event that marks a new chapter in the country’s sports diplomacy and international visibility.

Cissokho, the French-Senegalese fighter and Olympic medista, faced early danger, hitting the canvas in the second round and again in the fifth place where an uppercut even sent him to fall out of the strings. But the undefeated boxer showed balance and sand under pressure. Based on his technical ability and mental strength, Cissokho recovered, controlling the second half of the fight with precise blows and agile movement.

The judges noted the 114–112, 115–111 and 116–110 party in their favor, improving their professional record to 18-0 with 9 knockouts. The victory official makes Cissokho the mandatory challenger of the WBC for the world title, currently in the hands of Mario Barrios.

Sports Moment of Equatorial Guinea

The fight was more than a simple victory for Cissokho: it was a national triumph for Equatorial Guinea. Organized by Jérôme Abiteboul and Hassan Obiang, the event called international attention and showed the country’s ability to organize top -level sports competitions with professionalism and style.

From the impeccable logistics of the sand to the warm hospitality program to the global media and sports officials, the equatorial guinea made a strong case to become a destination for international boxing and other high -level sports. The multitude in Malabo coincided with the energy of any global fighting city, demonstrating that Africa and Equatorial Guinea in particular can offer world -class sports experiences.

The dramatic return of Cissokho and the success of the event underline a broader movement: the return of world boxing to the African continent. For years, African fighters have been forced to pursue recognition abroad. Now, the ring returns home.

The bold equatorial Guinea movement to organize this WBC eliminator can pave the way for more championships, training and sports investment fields throughout the region. It is a powerful statement of intention: Africa is not only producing champions, but is ready to crown them on their own soil.

What comes next?

All eyes now turn to the image of the WBC title. With his victory in Malabo, Cissokho is ready for an opportunity for glory. Meanwhile, equatorial guinea has shown that with vision, infrastructure and passion, it can compete with traditional sports capitals.

In the words of a fan in ringside: “This was more than a fight. It was history in motion: forest forest, for Africa and for equatorial guinea.”
