The Eurodiputados have attacked “failure” or EU member states to take measures against Hungary about their alleged curbs in “freedom of expression.”
LGBTQ+ rights have been attacked in Hungary and, at the European Council meeting on, among other issues, the procedure of article 7, it is said that the Member States did not make any decision.

Meanwhile, a Hungarian platform on European identity has won a superior cultural award.
The European Parliament and the Foundation of the Carlomagno International Award of Aachen awarded the European Carlomagne Youth Award 2025 at a ceremony in Aachen.
The first prize (€ 7500) was for the Europaeum forum, a group of paneuropeo experts and a means of communication that promotes European identity, values and unity through articles, podcasts, Tiktok videos and interviews.
The objective of the project is to explore European identity and social challenges, through the creation of spaces for battle construction on relevant issues for young people.
