It already lasts 5 years, I made this appointment with you to take stock of what entered my wardrobe during the past year.
It all started in 2020, when I became ethically and ecologically conscious, following my many years of excessive consumption as a fashion blogger. Since then, every year, I have the habit of scoring each purchase of clothes (or gift) and list it in this blog post. This allows me to see if thesis acquisitions have been useful, qualitative or not.
It already lasts 5 years, I made this appointment with you to take stock of what has happened to my wardrobe during the past year.
13 new additions in 2024: 8 purchases, 4 gifts and 1 surprise finding
Compared to the previous year (2023: 13 acquisitions Including 8 purchases, 2022: 9 acquisitions Including 5 purchases, 2021: 13 acquisitions Including 7 purchases, 2020: 8 acquisitions Including 3 purchases), I think I remain constant in my consumption.
This year, nothing was “necessary”, since I already have enough clothes in my wardrobe. That said, even if I don’t follow the trends so much, my eye is still influenced by current (wider) cuts and the desire to be even more comfortable in my clothes is growing with age (never say ever, but I am thinking of saying it). It also has one leg some “passion/impulse” purchases, which explains this modernly pragmatic fashion balance.

Bastille University Jacket

Why I bought it : The “fans attitude” for one of my favorite bands Bastille. When the visual was published online, he was very in love with this jacket (= the name of the first album of Bastille embroidered on the back, the name of the band embroidered in the chest, the triangular logo embroidered in the sleeve, the color each element)
My daily use : I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed with the representation when I recovered the article compared to the initial visual, but the quality remains decent. The jacket is lined, carefully embroidered and stays together quite well.
I do not use this jacket due to the Parisian climate, which is something too cold/rainy in winter and too hot in summer, but I am delighted that the Smith’s autumn concert of Bastille in the Cigale. It materializes my love for the band with an intelligent reference to a jacket used in the video of the song “Flaws”. The purchase of “fan” of quintesstial. I love it. (Let’s pray that I am a fan of the band for a long time!)

Why I bought the subject : The desire to renew my light color jeans, which are too tight in terms of adjustment (although I listen to the most tight trend is returning).
My daily use : Like the jeans I bought at Numéro Deux last year, I use thesis. The cut is a bit more loose and boyfriend, then the previous two, giving him an even more relaxed style.

Why I bought the subject: An unexpected visit to Dover Street Market Paris, a store that had already visited in Tokyo, New York and London. It is not the place for bargains, but I have always loved going there to have an idea of what is happening in the world of designers. These half skirt and leg pants intrigued me with their cut. I tried them for fun. The rest is history.
My daily use : Although it was a planned purchase, I am delighted to have invested in a garment in which I feel totally me. It is a strong but versatile piece, and that is what makes it so lovely. It is better to use in the middle of the season, since the fabric is too thick in the summer and there are too many drafts in frozen climate (drill it with socks underneath, maybe).

Why I bought the subject : Once again, an unexpected purchase. I saw it WendyslookThe Instagram account and was seduced by this idea of jeans that are Jogado Royal Pants. The comfort, the originality of the garment and the slightly wide cut convinced me.
My daily use : This pair of jeans of the Miramar range is an incredible feat of magic in their own right, and when I use them, my friends and family are amazed and fun. The elastic waist (like a couple of pajamas) makes you want to give up all clothing limitations (you want to wear nothing more than thesis for the rest of your life), but they still look as “great” as a couple of classic jeans. The trumpe-l’iil appearance is quite impressive (= false printed buttons, false pockets/braguette) and easy maintenance. Even if this purchase was essential, I do not regret it at all, given the frequency with which I use these false jeans.

Why I bought it : I already have two white t -shirts in my wardrobe (one of Sézane and another of Les Sublime), but I wanted to invest in a slightly more rigid cut.
My daily use : After having bought it at the end of summer, I still know it a lot, but I like its cut and thickness, which means that I can use it without a bra below: Total freedom! (… when I tell you that you are looking for comfort at all costs haha)

Why I bought it : The desire to have a small, useful and economical concert memory.
My daily use : Although there is no shortage of bag bags in my closet (as special as this is almost everything I use on a daily base), I am soft to have one in the color of Bastille and the sublime ampers and the album. I will have preferred it to be thicker, but, again, it cannot ask too much about the quality of the products sold in the concerts (although I would love that this child or product was better thought in terms of design and quality/durability).

Why I bought it : On a trip to Disneyland Paris, I ran into one of the park boutiques. I found the impression both sober and original, who speaks to Toy Story’s fan in me.
My daily use : I bought it mainly in the antipatization of my future visits to the park, to complete my Woody/Jessie outfit (you know that dressing with a Disney issue when I go to Disneyland, I enjoy my days there even every day.

Why I bought it : In the summer of 2024, he had gone out to buy a linen suit that he had seen with the brand, but once I have received it, the cut was not pleasant for me. So I sent it back, and instead of refunding it, I wanted to maintain a coupon that I could use later on the site, just to support this French brand. Later I fell in love with this red cashmere sweater (the puppy sweaters are what I put in winter, and have one in red completed my collection).
My daily use : I still don’t have enough experience to tell you about the quality of the product, but so far, after a wash, it is staying well. At first it accumulated slightly, but this seems to fade over time and with each wash. Its color allows me to cheer up my winter attire.

My daily use : I had repaired a gray new balance couple or shoes last year, but my boyfriend thought it would be a good idea to buy another pair, new and with a different design this time. I use them very regularly, alternating with my ancient pair, and I am satisfied with their comfort and versatility (they go with almost everything), but I am disappointed by the quality of the internal lining, which is already the Latin outside the back of it). Sick. They probably consolidate them in a shoemaker.

My daily use : These socks of a Japanese brand are ideal for inner use because they are very thick. So I don’t use them outside, but when I’m hung in the house, they are perfect.

My daily use : An unexpected but useful gift, since this shirt was wearing a lot in summer and autumn. It is a vintage man with a large straight cut, so it is perfect for use with my vintage levis jeans.

My daily use : Classifying a family closet led me to discover this coat, which obviously goes back to 80/90 (I have already talked about that here). In 100% virgin and small chevrons brown spots, it coincides with all my wardrobe and has great sentimental value.
To sum up
As I said in the introduction, there is not much on the path of the essential elements in my acquisitions of 2024, but rather in the path of “sentimental” purchases. Most purchases were driven by the desire to use a piece of what I love (musical or cinematically). In spite of everything, I am satisfied with this balance, since I know that I will use everything that entered my dressing room in 2024. However, disappointed by the quality of certain products (New Balance, Eye -Maintenating …). Used for maximum.
By 2025, I do not have much on the path of a search, perhaps exposing the acquisition of well -cut pants in the noble materials, if I find any. But and you? What did you fall in love with this year? Are you satisfied with your results?
