On April 8, Tadesse Wered, who was then the head of the regions of defense forces, was appointed by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to direct the interim administration of Tigray. He replaced Tachew Reda, whose term ended at the end of March. The distancing of this unconditional TPLF at 500 km south of Tigray occurs after having entered a direct confrontation with the number one of the party, deck gebremichael. In recent months, its rivalry became confrontations between two rival factions in an area that had already severely marked by a war that charged 600,000 lives approximately two years.
