At least 126 Indians have joined the Russian army to fight in the war in Ukraine, according to the Indian government. At least 12 have died to the bones and there are still 16. According to the reports, many of the affected Indians, most poor families were attracted to promises of lucrative jobs and roles such as assistants, chefs and maintainers of houses in Russia. However, upon arrival, they were sent directly to the war zones.
