Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, visited Gaza on Tuesday, April 15, announced his office, while the military continued with his air and land assaulting the Palestinian territory. “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited today the Northern Gaza Strip,” said a statement from his office.
Netanyahu said his visit to Israel would continue with his military offensive against Hamas to ensure the release of hostages. “They are hitting the enemy and Hamas will continue to suffer a blow after a blow. Let us insist that they are our hostages, and we insist on achieving all our war goals,” Netanyahu to Tops in Gaza, according to a statement from his office.
The Army resumed its offensive in Gaza on March 18, ending with a two -year fire with Hamas that had largely stopped the fighting in the territory beaten by the war. Since then, Israeli forces have led to large parts of the territory as the subs of thousands of people fled from areas where the military intensified their assault.
The senior Israeli officials, including Netanyahu, have repeatedly said that only military pressure would force Hamas to free the reminiscent hostages retained in Gaza.
