The Democratic Alliance (AD) of the right of Portugal won the complementary elections of Sunday, but did not reach the majority and the provisional results showed, with the socialists of the left and the extreme right of Chega competing for the second place. The vote, the third in Portugal in three years, followed the failure of Prime Minister Luis Montenegro to ensure trust after the scrutiny of the opposition of his family’s consulting care.
