Some 60 firefighters and 200 firefighters were on the scene, said the Fire Brigade.
The flames illuminated the night sky and the authorities closed part of the main ring road around Paris to allow access to the flame building for fire -fighting vehicles, Geoffrey Bouold, mayor of the affected district 17, told BFMTV.
“The building is completely delayed and destroyed,” he said, but all interior staff had evacuated.

“The firefighters raised very quickly, but the fire occurred underground and then extended through the building,” said Bouold.
