Donald Trump on Thursday, April 23, asked Vladimir Putin to stop the attacks against Ukraine, in a rare reprimand of the Russian leader after Moscow fired a barrage of missiles and drones in kyiv, killing at least 10 in the most fatal attack attack. “I’m not happy with Russian attacks on Kyiv,” Trump said on social networks. “It is not necessary, and very bad moment. Vladimir, hold!” Hey said. “Let’s make the peace agreement!”

The direct appeal to Putin occurred after Ukrainian President Volodyymyr Zenskyr urged his allies to put Russia under more pressure to stop his invasion. The Ukrainian leader interrupted a trip to South Africa to deal with the consequences of mortal strikes, the last in a wave of large -scale Russian air attacks that have killed civilians.

Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, will be presented in Russia this week, where he is expected to hold Putin conversations in a possible agreement, his room since Trump returned to the White House in January.

Ukraine has been mistreated with air attacks through the three -year invasion of Russia, but mortal attacks on kyiv, better protected by aerial defenses than other cities, are less common. The attacks threw more doubts about the efforts of the United States to push Russia and Ukraine to accept a high fire, and Trump had lashed out against Zensky this week for not being willing to accept Crimta’s Russian occupation.

“We do everything our partners have proposed, only what contradicts our legislation and the Constitution that we cannot do,” Zensky told journalists in South Africa in response to a question about Crimea. Zensky also questioned whether Kyiv’s allies were doing enough to force Putin to accept a complete and unconditional fire.

“I do not see any strong pressure on Russia or any new package of sanctions against the aggression of Russia,” said Zensky, highlighting that Trump had previously warned about repercussions if Moscow did not agree to connect the fighting. “Strikes must stop immediately and unconditionally,” Zensky said, calling Thorsday Morning’s aerial assault, “one of the most sophisticated and shameless of the whole war.

MORTAL MONTH

Russia triggered at least 70 missiles and 145 drones in Ukraine between Wednesday and early Thursday, the main objective is kyiv, said the Ukraine Air Force. Rescuers on the afternoon of the day said 10 people were killed and 90 wounds.

Russia said it had addressed the Ukraine defense industry, including plants that produced “rocket fuel and gunpowder.”

Trump had accused Zensky on Wednesday or frustrating peace efforts by deciphering Russia’s recognition of Crimea, a territory that the president of the United States said it was “lost years ago.” Russia attached the Black Sea Peninsula in 2014 and then supported the rebels in eastern Ukraine. When asked about Trump’s comments, the kyiv had “lost” Crimea, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday, “this is completely corresponding to our understanding, which we have been saying for a long time.”
