The perfect summer moment for me is to go to the beach at the end of the day, followed by dinner in one of the excellent beach restaurants along the coast. A new favorite is Le Grand Soleil in Gruissan in the Plage des Chalets. Who would not enjoy a fabulous meal with the great blue sea and the iconic chalets in the background? Places like this make me wish that summer lasts forever (Althegh I am more an autumn girl).
Plage des Chalets
The Le Grand Soleil restaurant opened in 2020 and is the last member of the Eo family, orchestrated by travel chef Jean-Marc Lemmery and with Paparazzo and Mamamouchi as brothers. It is easy to have a feeling of instant vacation in the Plage des Chalets, the deserted beach of Gruissan with more than 1,300 wooden houses in poles, the villas. And le Grand Soleil perfectly catches the atmosphere of last days, when the summers seemed endless in this legendary beach. Wait for an adequate brass, with a mixture of Bohemian Chic (the interior! Tan beautiful!) In a giant villa. Right on the beach! The chef and his team focus on the ingredients, with the Mediterranean Sea as their recreation courtyard. The combination results in beautiful bistronomic dishes.

First level
Like the other chalets, life is done on the first floor, where you will find the main dining room. The high ceiling, the wooden floors, the elegant tables, the intimate corners and a giant neon sign that reminds him of where he is: Le Grand Soleil. The exterior is divided into the first level, as well as a cozy terrace on the ground floor. This time, I was alone with the oldest and the medium. After a splash in the sea, we get used to Le a Greatil, quickly fixing our reverse for a possible sand. Althegh we sat outside, I took a look inside where the open kitchen was occupied with chefs cooking with great precision and style for flavor. The menu was prepared, with many options for food to share. The boys were hungry (teenagers …), so we all chose a headline, main and dessert.

Dessert space
The staff was friendly and fast, and it did not take long to have the first plates in front of us. The oldest began with a large and very full salad, Middlest had three huge grilled prawns, and chose the most adventurous tartar of Marina. After this, children both for the endecote and all French children like. I thought I had asked for a light dish that includes chipirons (baby squid) in a bed or spinach. But it was more than enough, Althegh finished everything, since it was very good. There was almost no space for dessert. Just, since we still ask for a Lady Blanche (older), a raspberry cream dessert with a chocolate dome (more intermediate) and a lemon cheese cake. Seeing the sky becoming a darker blue while chatting with my children, it was one of those nights with a golden lining.
